Incubating Civic Leaders

Our impact extends beyond the outcomes we accomplish in our platforms – it is multiplied by the leaders who grow through working with us. Individuals in our partners’ pro bono teams and those who work in-house at Civic Consulting Alliance work closely with high-level public and private sector officials to form a deep understanding of the most important issues of the day and develop plans to address them. Because of our unique scope and access, we are an incubator for Chicago’s next generation of leaders.

This is more than valuable experience – it often inspires a lifelong passion for service that impacts Chicago long past the end of an individual project. Our alumni go on to do big things. Some become leaders in the public, nonprofit, or for-profit sectors. Others return to their firms and leverage their experience to move upward. Still others go on to the most prestigious graduate programs in the country.

"I use the skills and knowledge I gained at Civic Consulting Alliance every day in my job. Civic Consulting Alliance takes the best the private sector has to offer and applies it to drive real, meaningful change in the lives of Chicagoans. Civic Consulting Alliance taught me how to apply my business skills to these problems in a way that can effect real change.”

- Christina Anderson, Director,
Office of Reform Management, Chicago PD

"Civic Consulting Alliance has been an amazing resource for Black Chicago Tomorrow. Civic Consulting Alliance offered us the opportunity to fully develop the concept and to incubate and test the vision before we launched. There aren’t many places that would afford this type of opportunity and we are grateful to continue this partnership."

Black Chicago Tomorrow
